Capital Letters 2
Abstract nouns - nouns that express feelings, ideas or qualities (such as love) - are not capitalised.

Capital Letters 2

The names of most companies and organisations require a capital letter. This is the second quiz in capitalization.

Some companies and brand names deliberately use a lower case letter to begin their name, such as BBC iPlayer, eBay and iTunes. This is a relatively modern trend and is acceptable in English. For these brand names, you would always spell them as the company created them. So you would write eBay, not EBay or Ebay. It would actually be wrong to spell them with a capital letter! As you often read on our English quizzes, there are always exceptions!

In this 11-plus quiz see if you can get all ten questions correct. Don't forget to play our first quiz on capital letters too, if you haven't already done so.
