Year 2 - Suffix ness

This 'Suffix ness' spelling quiz tests KS1 children on words that can have these letters added to them. The spellings have been taken from and added to those suggested in the National Curriculum.

Some words can have the suffix ‘ness’ added to the end of them. When ‘ness’ is placed at the end of a word it cements it by turning an adjective into a noun. This means a describing word changes into a noun. See how many of these spellings you know.
