Grammar - Verbs Marathon!
My grandmother BAKES bread every morning. Can you conjugate the Spanish verb 'to bake'?

Grammar - Verbs Marathon!

This Spanish Medium Review quiz will continue on with an athletic approach to conjugating verbs. Here we begin with a verbs marathon! The first quiz was Grammar: Verbs 2K Run!. If you have not already taken that quiz, please do so now as its introduction will give you a little more information about this series of athletic quizzes.

You were given a number of new and old verbs to conjugate in the first athletic quiz, however, you were only given the conjugations of the irregular verbs according to their present or past tense. The first quiz was only a 2K run. Now you are in a marathon so it is going to take a little more effort on your part to remember a lot more verbs. Don’t panic. Warm up your brain muscle – do some stretches (review, repeat, review, repeat) and then jog up to the starting line. BANG you’re off….

The third answer translates as 'he drilled'.

horneas
hornea
horneé
horneaste
This sentence has a present tense verb. The third and last answers show the past tense forms so they can both be eliminated. Next you need to determine the correct pronoun for my grandmother. That would be she. The first answer shows the verb form for 'you bake' (singular familiar). That is not correct. The second answer shows the verb form for 'she bakes'.
3.
They SANG at the Nursing Home on Saturday.
cantan
cantaste
cantaron
cantamos
This sentence has a past tense verb. The first and last answers show the present tense form of the verbs although the last answer is also the past tense of the verb as it can mean 'we sing' or 'we sang'. However, it is still not correct. The pronoun provided is they. The second answer is the verb form for 'you sang' (singular familiar) making it incorrect. The third answer is the verb form for 'they sang'.
4.

imaginó

5.

6.

The first answer is the verb form for 'we erased'.

This sentence has a present tense verb. The second, third and last answers are each the past forms of the verb making them all incorrect. Next you need to determine the proper pronoun for the class. Be careful here. You might first believe it to be they but that is not correct. The class is a singular object. It is not a 'he, she or you' but it is an 'it'. Therefore, it is an indirect object pronoun and the verb for the indirect object pronoun here would be 'tira' for 'it pulls' tricks. What is 'it'? 'The class.'
