So, you have made it to the second of our difficult Eleven Plus maths quizzes on negative numbers. If you have made it this far, then negatives are no problem for you… or are they? If so, don’t worry – this quiz will give you more opportunity to practice adding and subtracting negatives.
In the previous quiz, each question had an accompanying number line to make things that little bit easier. This time, you will have to rely solely on your wits. These rules should help:

Rearranging the problem may help:
-3 + 10 - 8 + 16 = (10 - 3) = (16 - 8) = 7 + 8 = 15 |
