Verbal Reasoning Quiz - Putting Words Into Groups 1 (Questions)

This series of Eleven Plus Verbal Reasoning quizzes is all about putting words into groups. What exactly does that mean, and how do you do it? Well, we’ve given you four groups of words which are related in some way. They could be synonyms (words with similar meanings), or they could all be types of the same thing, like planets, languages, school subjects or something like that.

Still not sure what I mean? Don’t worry. We’ve put an example question at the start of the quiz. We’ve also given you the answer which explains how these kinds of question work.

Don’t be tempted to rush through these quizzes. Make sure you know how the words in each group are related before you decide which one to put the word you are given into.
