The Royal Palaces of London are many and varied. From Hampton Court Palace in the west to Eltham Palace in the east, these astounding edifices are arguably an essential part of any visit to the capital.
Built as symbols of power, wealth and beauty these palaces were not just residences but designed as places for recreation and entertaining as well.
Today some are still inhabited whilst others have adopted new roles as historic visitor attractions but they all have remarkable tales to tell.
