English Quiz - Capital Letters and Full Stops (Questions)

Enjoyable Quiz for Children Aged 5 to 7

This quiz reminds KS1 children that every sentence must contain a few key ingredients: capital letters, full stops and finger spaces. This is the foundation and basic requirements suggested in the National Curriculum. This activity is primarily aimed at Year 1 but can be used to solidify what a Year 2 pupil already knows. Using capital letters, full stops and finger spaces improves a child’s literacy and all-round English skills.

All sentences should begin with a capital letter. To know when a sentence has finished, we write a full stop. When reading your book, you pause when you see a full stop and take a breath. When you write, you need to remember that the reader needs to breathe, so don’t forget full stops!
