This quiz addresses the requirements of the National Curriculum KS1 History for children aged 5, 6 and 7 in years 1 and 2. Specifically this quiz is aimed at the section dealing with historical figures and understanding significant people from history.
As KS1 children develop their understanding of historical data and find out about significant people in history, they learn about how our country has changed as a direct influence of the monarchs and rulers in charge of it. They may explore more about the lives and achievements of some historical rulers of notoriety, such as Henry VIII or Elizabeth I, and may also learn about other key rulers, such as William the Conqueror and how their rule affected the lives of ordinary people.
