This Judaism RE quiz introduces KS1 children to this religion. Children often know that Jesus was Jewish but can’t differentiate between Judaism and Christianity. A simple way to explain the differences is by pointing out that Jewish people only use the Old Testament whereas Christians focus on the New.

Do you remember the story about the evil Pharaoh who wouldn't free the Jewish slaves? Well it was Moses who brought the plagues upon him, with the help of God. He was then able to free them and lead them away from slavery.

When they read from the Torah, in Hebrew, they keep their place with a yad - a stick that points to where they are.

A Rabbi is the person that leads the sermon and reads the Torah.

It's also called a yarmulke. Some Jewish men wear it all day every day, whilst others just wear it on the holy day.

They don't eat animals that don't chew their food or have split-hoofed feet.

Sabbath begins on Friday and finishes on Saturday.
