Get ready for a KS2 English quiz all about similes! Similes are like special comparisons. "Life is like an onion: you peel it off one layer at a time, and sometimes you weep," said the poet Carl Sandburg. 'Life is like an onion' is a simile. Another one is saying someone is 'as wise as an owl'. Look for phrases like 'as ... as' or 'like a...' to find similes. They make your writing super interesting!
