English Quiz - Similes (Questions)

Get ready for a KS2 English quiz all about similes! Similes are like special comparisons. "Life is like an onion: you peel it off one layer at a time, and sometimes you weep," said the poet Carl Sandburg. 'Life is like an onion' is a simile. Another one is saying someone is 'as wise as an owl'. Look for phrases like 'as ... as' or 'like a...' to find similes. They make your writing super interesting!

Similes are a bit like metaphors. If you want to know more, try our 'Metaphors' quiz in this KS2 English section!
