The Social Education part of PSHE is there to help children get along with others. That does not mean just their friends. While they are at school children must follow certain rules. These are there to protect children and also to maintain order. This quiz looks at some of the more common rules in schools and explains why they are there, and why they must be followed.

Somewhere in you classroom you are almost certain to find a list of 'Golden 'Rules'. These are not there to stop you having fun. No, the point of these riules is to help you to learn and to keep you safe.

In this quiz we test whether or not you know why we have these rules. Even if your school does not have any 'Golden Rules', they are still good to learn.

1. Why do you think we have Golden Rules?
[ ] Because everyone loves rules
[ ] To fill a gap on the display board
[ ] To help every child learn and be safe
[ ] So the teacher has a reason to tell you off
2. 'Treat others how you would like to be treated' is a Golden Rule but what does it mean?
[ ] Play with others and be kind as that's what you would expect

[ ] Go trick or treating on Halloween
[ ] Buy everyone a treat like chocolate
3. We look after the property of others but why?

Outside of school, adults abide by a set of rules but these 'rules' are called the law. Rules and the law help everyone live in peace and harmony together.
