Story 1 - Sally's First Day

Sally looked out the window. She was tired and sad. It was early in the morning. Her mother came into her room and told her to get up. She said that it was time to get dressed. She didn’t want to be late. Summer had been so much fun. She wanted summer to be longer.

Sally put her dress on and walked down the stairs. Sally’s mom made her breakfast. Sally ate her breakfast quickly. She had a frown on her face. She would miss playing with her friends and swimming in the pool. Sally picked up her backpack and walked out the door sadly.

Story 2 - Pete and the Storm

The sky grew dark. Pete and his dog started to run. They knew it was about to rain. Then Pete felt the wind blow. Pete looked up at the clouds. They were moving around.

Pete’s shirt was new. It cost a lot of money and his mom told him not to get it dirty. Pete looked down the street. His house was far away.

Then the wind began to blow harder. Rain would be pouring down soon. Pete ran faster with his dog. He didn’t want his mom to get mad. His shirt would get messy from the rain. Pete walked into the house. Then the rain started to pour down.
