When we write in the past tense, we need to make sure the verbs (doing words) are also written in that tense. Sometimes, though, the word completely changes: ‘I drink water’ changes to ‘I drank water.’

Sometimes, to show a verb happened yesterday, we can add 'ed'. However, for irregular past tense verbs, the word completely changes.
