By now you should be getting a bit comfortable with working with radicals, at least as far as adding and subtracting radicals. Now it is time to move on and begin to multiply radicals.

As you may recall, a radical is a mathematical expression that uses a root such as the square root of a number. In addition, the symbol used to represent a radical is the (√). Finally, when working out radical expressions, you can only combine “like” terms. These same rules apply when it comes to multiplying with radicals.
