In both Spanish Medium Review quiz series and the Spanish Difficult Review quiz series you were given the chance to learn how to say and spell many different countries of the world. Now in this Spanish Difficult Review quiz, and the one to follow, you will be introduced to the Spanish names of twenty-five of the fifty U.S. states. You will notice that many of the state’s names are spelled exactly the same way in both English and Spanish. However, their pronunciations will, at times, be different.
You might be thinking that this quiz is more of a geography quiz than a Spanish quiz. However, the emphasis here is for you to become familiar with how the state names sound with their Spanish pronunciation. Therefore, as you take the quiz below, please say the answers out loud so that you can hear the pronunciations.

This quiz, the quiz that follows and the quizzes on the countries have all been created to help you more with hearing the sounds and training the brain to quickly recognize those sounds over learning any real new vocabulary words. They are also designed to carry you forward into conversational Spanish should you decide to continue on further with your Spanish learning. So, for now, let’s get familiar with the first set of 25 U.S. states.
