Modern literature, is generally accepted to be literature that was written after the end of the Second World War. It consists of many different subgenres and an almost countless number of authors. The best-selling works of modern literature are JRR Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings and JK Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - but, as these are covered in other quizzes, here we shall take a look at some more down to earth works of fiction.
