The more words you know how to spell, the better your English will be!

Year 1 - Plurals that end in s

Plurals that end in s reminds KS1 children that sometimes we add the letter s to show there is more than one of something. The National Curriculum requires Year 1 children to know how to spell the ‘z’ sound when adding ‘s’ to a word to make it plural.

There is one cat but if there are two, we would say two cats. The ‘s’ letters makes a ‘z’ sound but is spelt with just an ‘s’. Improve your spelling skills on these ‘s’ ending plural words.
