This quiz addresses part of the requirements of the National Curriculum KS1 for children aged 5 and 6 in years 1 and 2 in Computing. Specifically it looks at how to make algorithms and uses the making of a pizza as an example of an algorithm. It is one of 20 quizzes to help you find out about how computers work, and how they affect all our lives.
A journey is a good example of an algorithm. A recipe is another good example of an algorithm. You have to follow the steps in the right order. This quiz is about the steps followed when making a pizza. That’s make a pizza - not just buy one from the shops! So you have to make the dough for the base of the pizza. Then you have to choose the toppings. After that, the pizza has to be baked. Only then is it ready to eat.
