Magic e with e introduces KS1 children to another way of spelling the ee/ea sound. These spellings are recommended in the National Curriculum.
When there is an e at the end of the word, it changes how the vowel sounds. The vowel ‘e’ is like ‘eh’ but when there is an ‘e’ at the end of the word it changes to an ‘ee’ sound. Test your knowledge on these magic e sounding words.
