This Sound oa spelling quiz helps KS1 children learn spellings that include that digraph. These two letters make, what we call, the long vowel sound ‘o’ – like the word ‘load’. All words tested have been taken from the National Curriculum.
The sound ‘oa’ makes the long vowel sound used for ‘o’. The letters will always be this way round as ‘ao’ doesn’t make a sound. Try and get full marks on ‘oa’ spellings.
