This quiz addresses part of the requirements of the National Curriculum KS1 for children aged 5 and 6 in years 1 and 2 in Geography. Specifically it looks at the need for clean water to drink and food to eat. It is one of 50 quizzes to help you understand the world around you.
We all need clean water to drink. A lot of water is a needed to grow plants and crops. This comes from the rain. But sometimes we have to water crops when it is dry. Water is also needed for washing and cleaning, and for flushing the lavatory. As well as water to drink, we all need food to eat. Millions of children in the world do not get enough food to eat. Feeding everyone in the world is a big problem.
