This quiz addresses the requirements of the National Curriculum KS1 History for children aged 5, 6 and 7 in years 1 and 2. Specifically this quiz is aimed at the section dealing with historical figures, understanding significant people from history and stories from different historical periods.
As KS1 children develop their understanding of different historical periods, data and key figures, they may learn about certain significant figures from myths, stories, legends or other key historical tales. They will look at stories from different periods, like Ancient Greece and Medieval Britain, and learn about characters from myth and legend. Learning about saints may link in with work on Religious Education, or arise as a teaching point if it happens to be one of the saints' days.
