This quiz addresses the requirements of the National Curriculum KS1 Maths and Numeracy for children aged 5 and 6 in year 1. Specifically this quiz is aimed at the section dealing with comparing, describing and solving practical problems relating to capacity.
Year 1 children will be given practical problems to solve on capacity. Capacity is the amount which can be held by a container. Often this term is used when we are talking about liquids, but it can apply to many other things too. Early understanding of capacity usually focuses on using language such as full, empty, half full, quarter full, more and less.
Playing this quiz will help your child to solve practical problems of capacity.
