Imagine a situation where a girl is on the stage singing a song. The people in the audience enjoy the show and when asked about their reactions to the girl’s performance we get varied responses:

‘She was wearing a BEAUTIFUL dress’,

‘She is a CHARMING girl’,
‘She has an APPEALING personality’
'The jewellery she was wearing was ALLURING.’

You will have noticed from the responses that the word beautiful is used for both the girl and the song. Other words such as alluring, appealing and charming are used in other contexts.
