In KS2 Maths, as you go through the years, you'll discover cool things about measuring. Imagine you have 2 litres of juice – that's the same as 2,000 millilitres! Year Four gets even more exciting with old measures like pints. You'll also learn to write measurements in different ways, like 2.5 metres as 2m 50cm.
When we talk about liquids, we use millilitres, centilitres, and litres – these are metric measures. But sometimes we use other ones like gallons or pints, and those are called imperial measures. There's more – miles for long trips, stones for weights, and inches for short distances instead of kilometres, kilograms, and centimetres.
Can you tell your litres from your pints? Take the fun quiz to test how much you know about measures!
