The importance of exercise is a recurrent theme in PSHE. Following on from what they learned in KS1, KS2 aged children are taught that, and the changes that will happen to the body during physical activity. To stay healthy we need a balanced diet, plenty of water, and regular exercise. Exercise is good for both physical and mental health and it ensures the body's systems are working effectively.
You can exercise in a group or on your own. It doesn’t matter what you choose as long as you are getting active. Different exercises have different benefits so it is best to do a variety of activities to ensure you work your whole body.
