Understanding a story requires the students to realize that stories are created with a beginning and ending. At the beginning of the story, characters and the setting are introduced. This is followed by the rising action, climax and falling action. The ending of the story brings the action to a conclusion. In this quiz, the students will read a story and answer questions pertaining to the beginning and ending of that story.
