Don't forget, per cent means per hundred, e.g. 10% = 10⁄100. Suppose you were asked to find 10% of 50, how would you do it? This is how you would do it: 10⁄100 × 50 = (10 × 50) ÷ 100 = 5. It's as simple as that!
