In written language we have two forms of each letter, i.e., upper case and lower case. The upper case is also known as Capitalization.

When writing words down, there are certain rules that must be applied to know when to use Capitalization and when not to.

The following is a list of Capitalization rules:

1.The first letter of every sentence must be capitalized.
2. Proper names of persons, places, things, days, and months (such as United States).
3. Titles of distinction (such as Your Honor which refers to a court Judge).
4. The letters “I” and “O” when used by themselves.
5. Words of nationality (such as Spanish, Italian, Greek).
6. The first words and last words of titles of publications (such as The Day of the Jackal).
7. Points of a compass (such as East, West, North, South, Southeast, etc.) when they refer to a specific region rather than a direct such as - “He drove east.” (No capitalization.) “He drove to the East coast.” (A region so it is capitalized.)

'Pushing' is a verb and it is not the first word in a sentence so this word does not need to be capitalized. The words 'feet' and 'rug' are common nouns contained in the sentence and do not need to be capitalized. The word 'jamie' is the first word of a sentence, as well as a proper name. It must be capitalized. Therefore, 'jamie' should be written as 'Jamie'.
