Synonyms are two words that mean the same or nearly the same thing. As an example, look at the following two sentences:
[readmore]“Steven thought the new girl was really pretty.”
“Steven thought the new girl was really beautiful.”
In these two sentences, “pretty” and “beautiful” mean nearly the same thing. Therefore, they are synonyms.

To 'restrict' means to confine or limit. Knowing this definition points us to the word 'limited' as a synonym for 'restricted'.

'Fascination' means to be filled with complete interest or curiosity. Knowing this definition points us to the word 'captivation' which refers to holding one’s complete attention.

'Result' means the consequence or outcome. Knowing this definition quickly points us to the word 'outcome' as being the perfect synonym.

'Noxious' means hurtful and harmful. Knowing this we quickly see that its synonym is 'harmful'.

'Anger' means rage, wrath or antagonism. 'Agony' means mental pain or suffering. It is similar to anger. Therefore, it is a good synonym to 'anger'.

'Emphatic' means sharp or forceful. Knowing this we quickly see that its synonym is 'forceful'.

'Volition' means to do willingly without force. Knowing this we quickly see that its synonym is 'will'.

'Contradict' in this sentence means to dispute. Looking at the list, we can quickly eliminate 'admit', 'unite' and 'woo' as none of them mean to dispute. Therefore, 'belie' is the synonym we are looking for. It means to give a false or wrong impression.
