Compound Words 4

Compound words are a mixture of other words.

In this series of 11-plus verbal reasoning quizzes you have to find one word from each group of words in brackets that together makes one correctly spelled word. The letters must not be rearranged. The word from the first group will always be used first.

Choose one answer from the four choices available. This is the final quiz in the Compound Word series. You are about to be a qualified compound word expert!

    The correct answer is goodbye because good and bye together make the compound word goodbye. Originally goodbye meant 'God be with you'. The answer to the puzzle in question 3? How about rendezvous, bureau and ballet? How many can you think of?

    The correct answer is high way man because high and way and man together make the compound word highwayman.
