The Passing of Time
Hopefully your school was built after the dinosaurs roamed the Earth, rather than before!

The Passing of Time

As elementary school children develop an awareness of how units of time are used and how time 'works', they begin to understand how to talk about things which happened in the past using the correct words. They also develop an awareness of the difference between things which happened in the very recent past, within their lifetimes or many years ago.

Do you know which time-related words we should be using?

1.
My school was built...
before the dinosaurs roamed the Earth
long after the Vikings came to England
before the pyramids were built
before there were cavemen
Hopefully your school was built fairly recently - the other things all happened long ago!
