Solving problems is about finding solutions. This quiz gives you some questions based on everyday scenarios and tests your knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, weights, distances, capacities and time.

A large glass holds 300ml and a small glass holds 250ml. A jug has 1 liter of juice. First I fill 1 large glass. How many small glasses can be filled with what is left in the jug?

First you need to subtract 300ml from 1 liter. As there are 1,000ml in a liter, the answer is 700ml. Divide this by 250ml and the answer is 2 full glasses with 200ml left over
