If you are on this quiz, hopefully you have already taken the Metric System - Review of the Basics quiz. If you have not done that quiz, please do go and check it out as it will be a great refresher of the very basics of the metric system and how it works. It also contains a reminder of a standard phrase to remember in order to remember the metric list of kilo to milli.
It is important to memorize the metric system listing because it is the foundation that will help you to convert from one measurement to the next.
Briefly, the metric system measurements include meters that are related to the measurement of length or distance, grams that are related to the measurement of mass and/or weight and, finally, liters that are related to the measurement of volume.
In converting from one measurement to the next you will need to move spaces up or down to find your answer, adding the appropriate zeros “0” to either the right or the left of the base number and, if necessary, a decimal point.
Again, if you have not taken the earlier metric quiz, you will probably want to do that first before moving forward. However, if you feel that you are ready to start converting, then look at the following 10 metric measurements and convert them by finding the correct answer.
