The 20th Century saw some of the most epic children’s books - JRR Tolkien’s The Hobbit, CS Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia and JK Rowling’s Harry Potter series spring instantly to mind. It also introduced us to a variety of anthropomorphic creatures including AA Milne’s Winnie the Pooh and Kenneth Grahame’s Mole, Rat, Toad and Badger from Wind in the Willows.
