Year 1 Position, Direction and Motion

This quiz addresses the requirements of the National Curriculum KS1 Maths and numeracy for children aged 5 and 6 in year 1. Specifically this quiz is aimed at the section dealing with using the language of position, direction and motion.

A good understanding of words in the language, such as left and right, top, middle and bottom, on top of, in front of, above, between, around, near, close and far, up and down, forwards and backwards, inside and outside, will help Year 1 children do well with geometry work on position, direction and movement.
