Year 1 - The Sound th

This 'Sound th' spelling quiz tests KS1 children on the hard ‘th’ sound. This is the sound made with words like ‘this’. The soft ‘th’ sound is seen in words like ‘with’. Make sure the child is placing their tongue between their teeth when saying this sound.

The ‘th’ sound is made by putting your tongue between your teeth. This quiz will test you on spellings that include the ‘th’ sound. Can you spell the missing words?
