  • Attention: Careful listening or looking.
  • Effort: The hard work you put into doing something.
What is a noun for KS1?

A noun for KS1 is a naming word. It names a person, place, thing or idea, such as child, classroom, toy or kindness.

What does attention mean in simple words?

Attention means listening carefully or looking carefully. A child gives attention when they focus on the teacher, a book or an activity.

What does effort mean for children?

Effort means trying hard. A child shows effort when they keep going, practise a skill or work carefully even when something feels tricky.
