  • Build: To make something by putting parts together.
What is a verb in KS1?

A verb in KS1 is a doing word. It tells what a person, animal or thing is doing, such as run, jump, grow or build.

What does grow mean for children?

For children, grow means to get bigger or taller over time. Plants grow from seeds, and children grow as their bodies and skills change.

What does build mean in simple words?

Build means to make something by joining parts together. Children can build with bricks, blocks or other materials to make models and shapes.
