What is a verb in KS1?

A verb in KS1 is a doing word. It tells what a person, animal or thing is doing, such as run, jump, publish or obtain.

What does publish mean for children?

For children, publish means sharing work so other people can read or see it. A child might publish a story, a class book or a display piece.

What does obtain mean in simple words?

Obtain means to get something. Children can obtain books, stickers, information or help by borrowing, earning, asking or finding what they need.
