A noun in KS1 is a naming word. It names a person, place, thing or idea, such as teacher, school, toy or kindness.

What are some noun examples for age 6?

Some noun examples for age 6 are dog, park, pencil, child, house and cake. Each of these words names someone or something.

How do you find a noun in a sentence?

You find a noun in a sentence by looking for the word that names who or what the sentence is about. In “The boy kicked the ball,” boy and ball are nouns.
