What is a verb in KS1 vocabulary?

In KS1 vocabulary, a verb is a doing word. It tells you what a person, animal, or thing is doing, such as run, jump, arrange, or acquire.

What does arrange mean for children?

For children, arrange means to put something in order or get it ready. A child might arrange toys neatly or arrange books on a shelf.

What does acquire mean in simple words?

Acquire means to get something or gain it over time. A child can acquire knowledge by learning, or acquire a new pencil from the teacher.
