In any language there are certain phrases which will come in very useful. If you want to be polite then you should know how to ask how somebody is. If you are feeling unwell then being able to describe your symptoms is essential. And if you want to give or follow instructions then some key phrases will help. In this quiz we look at a variety of common phrases in French. Have a go and see how many of the forty given you know. It’s a great way to learn and revise French for tests and exams at school.

In each question you will be given a word or words in English. All you have to do is choose the French equivalent from the four choices offered.
