Learning the names of numbers and how to count is one of the first things we are taught in school. It is such a simple thing that, if you want to do well in your French exams, it is essential that you know the French names for numbers. In this quiz we look at some of the smaller ones, from zero to one thousand. Have a go and see how many of the questions you can answer correctly first time. It’s a fun and fast way to revise.

In each question you will be given a word or words in English. All you have to do is choose the French equivalent from the four choices offered.
