Math - How Many Do I Have

This Spanish Easy Review 'How Many Do I Have' math quiz will test your knowledge of the Spanish words for the numbers 0 through 100. Each time you review the numbers, the more natural those numbers will become to you. Just as in English we teach: one, two, three; in Spanish we teach: uno, dos, tres. We also do math with numbers and this quiz will be a kind of math quiz. The trick here is that all numbers will only be given to you in Spanish and you need to find the correct Spanish number in the provided answers. Diez y ocho is Spanish for the number 18 and quince is Spanish for the number 15. 18 + 15 = 33. Treinta y tres is Spanish for 33.

The Highland High School football team scored cuarenta y seis points while the Fairmont High School football team scored treinta y nueve points. By how many points did the Highland High School football team lose or win the game?

Cuarenta y seis is Spanish for the number 46 and treinta y nueve is Spanish for the number 39. Since the Highland High School football team scored more points, we know they won! Now we need to subtract the score of Fairmont High School from Highland High School so, 46 – 39 = 7. Highland High School won by 7 points. Seven in Spanish is siete.

At the Halloween party the younger children played musical chairs. They started with veinte y seis chairs and ended with uno chair. How many chairs were eliminated?

Veinte y seis is Spanish for the number 26 and uno is Spanish for the number 1. Since we need to find out how many chairs were eliminated, we need to subtract the ending number from the beginning number. 26 – 1 = 25. There were 25 chairs eliminated. Veinte y cinco is the Spanish number for 25.

Billy has cuarenta y dos marbles and James has cincuenta y tres marbles. How many marbles do they have all together?

Madeline counted setenta y seis stairs as she climbed to the top floor while Arnold counted sesenta y cuatro stairs to the floor he went to. How many more stairs did Madeline climb over Arnold?

Setenta y seis is Spanish for the number 76 and sesenta y cuatro is Spanish for the number 64. To find how many more steps Madeline climbed we must subtract the difference between the two numbers. 76 – 64 = 12. The Spanish word for the number 12 is doce.

The rocking chair his grandpa gave him was ochenta y nueve years old. His grandpa was noventa y siete years old. How much older is grandpa over the rocking chair?

Ochenta y nueve is Spanish for the number 89 and noventa y siete is Spanish for the number 97. To find how much older grandpa is we must find the difference between the two numbers so 97 – 89 = 8. The Spanish word for the number 8 is ocho. Grandpa was 8 years older than the rocking chair.

Steven wanted to know what number would be half of ochenta y dos. What number would that be?

Ochenta y dos is Spanish for the number 82. To find out what half of the number is we would have to divide the number by 2. 82 ÷ 2 = 41. The Spanish word for 41 is cuarenta y uno.

The milkman delivered sesenta y seis bottles of milk on Monday, doce bottles of milk on Wednesday and veinte y dos bottles of milk on Friday. How many bottles of milk in all did the milkman deliver?

Sesenta y seis is Spanish for the number 66, doce is Spanish for the number 12 and veinte y dos is Spanish for the number 22. Adding the numbers together we get: 66 + 12 + 22 = 100. The Spanish word for 100 is cien.

Danny needed setenta y tres pickets to fix the fence. He had treinta y cinco pickets. How many more pickets did he need to fix the fence?

Setenta y tres is Spanish for the number 73 and treinta y cinco is Spanish for the number 35. To find the difference we need to subtract so, 73 – 35 = 38. Danny needed 38 more pickets. The number 38 in Spanish is treinta y ocho.
