II Thessalonians begins with Paul thanking God for the faith of the Christians in Thessalonica, despite the persecution they are facing. Paul gives a reason why they are being persecuted. What is it?

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time"

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness"

As he nears the end of his letter, at the beginning of chapter 3, Paul asks the Thessalonians to do something. What is it that he asks of them?
