Zechariah

Zechariah 1:10-11
"And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the Lord hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth. And they answered the angel of the Lord that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest."

Zechariah is shown a total of 8 visions. Here they are, along with their meanings:
A man amongst myrtle trees - God will rebuild Zion.
4 horns and 4 carpenters - Israel's enemies will be judged.
A man with a measuring line - God will protect Jerusalem.
The cleansing of the High Priest - The Messiah will cleanse Israel.
A golden lampstand - God's spirit empowers His leaders.
A flying scroll - sin will be punished.
A woman in a basket - Israel's sin will be taken away.
4 chariots - God will judge all nations

God tells us how, through the Messiah, He will remove the sins of Israel in just one day.

Zechariah 3:8-9
"Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH, For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day"

In the past there had been disagreements between kings and priests, but the Messiah will be both, and bring harmony between the two roles.

Zechariah 6:12-13
"and speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord: even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both"

Zechariah 8:19
"Thus saith the Lord of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace."

God shall dwell in Jerusalem and rule the earth from there. It will be a time of joy and peace

Zechariah 9:9
"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion;
shout, O daughter of Jerusalem:
behold, thy King cometh unto thee:
he is just, and having salvation;
lowly, and riding upon an ass,
and upon a colt the foal of an ass."

The prophecy came true when Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, riding a donkey. The donkey was a symbol of peace, whereas a horse symbolised war. Jesus' arrival on a donkey shows that He is the prince of peace

Zechariah 11:11-13
"And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the Lord. And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. And the Lord said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the Lord."

This prophesy also came true when Jesus was sold by Judas for that exact sum, as we see in Matthew 27: 3-8

"Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood. And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in. Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day"

Zechariah 12:10
"And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn."

Though crucifixion is not mentioned by name, this is of course a reference to Jesus' crucifixion, when He was pierced by nails and also by a Roman lance, as seen in John 19:34

"but one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water"

Zechariah 13:1
"In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness."

Zechariah is talking of Christ's second coming, when the land shall be rid of idol worship and false prophets

Zechariah 14:4
"And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south."

Jesus spent much time on the Mount of Olives. He went there on the night of His betrayal, and it was from that very mount that He ascended to heaven

Not everyone will be destroyed. Many will be spared and they will come to Jerusalem themselves to worship God.

Zechariah 14:12-16
"And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the Lord shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague. And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles"
