In order for an opinion essay to be read smoothly, students should include linking words and phrases. These transitional words connect opinions and reasons together. Too many linking words sound odd. However, it is expected that linking words will be used in the appropriate places in an essay. In this quiz, students will link together two sentences by choosing the correct linking word or phrase.
