Once students master supporting their claim with evidence, they need to connect sentences. In this way, they would not sound so choppy. Using a variety of sentence types also allows the essay to sound smooth. Some of these transition words include consequently, specifically, furthermore, however, above all and previously. In this quiz, students will join two sentences together with a transition word or phrase.
