In KS1 Vocabulary Age 6, children learn useful words that help them read, speak and write with more confidence. This topic focuses on verbs, including words that describe actions, messages and things being brought in.

What is a verb for KS1 pupils?

A verb is a doing word. It tells us what a person, animal or thing does, such as tell, bring, play, jump or help.

What does inform mean for children?

Inform means to tell someone something useful, such as telling a teacher about a problem or sharing important news.

What does import mean in simple English?

Import means to bring something into a country from another country, such as food, clothes, toys or materials.
